The fogs are completely manual, so is the interior dome lights. I would say try putting a hat over the sensor on the dash and see if it works. That's not the permanent solution, but then you will know if it's mechanical or electrical and go from there.

Good luck man.

Hmm... I would just do the general "cost-free" checking before taking it to a stealership. Just check the connections at the bulb, the switch in the cab, the fuses, and try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Computer systems can be somewhat funny in some respect. If you have a gremlin that you can not seem to get rid of, sometimes just resetting the works does the trick. Perhaps that's the issue, the computer is just acting up and needs to be reset?

The odds that the sensor is bad are extremely minimal. That is likely not the problem, but now we know that it is SOMEWHERE between the sensor and switch and not a deeper in wiring issue.

Once I have done all of the above, IF the problem persists I would consider taking it in. But I would definitely check everything I could imagine is related prior to spending the $$ on a potentially simple fix.

Good luck man!
