Default Headlght Question

What's up guys. I am new to the forum and my first F150. I recently bought a 06 F150 Lariat scab 4x2 with a 5.4L. I am having a problem with the driver side head light. It comes on but not all the way on (shines but VERY dim). The brights both work when activated and the low beam works correctly sporatically. I haven't done any trouble shooting yet because I haven't had a day off. I did replace the bulbs today thinking I had a loose filament maybe. Don't usually do shotgun maintenance but wanted to put xenons in anyway. Was wondering if anyone had similar problems in the past before I started ripping and tearing into it. Thanks in advance.

Greetings from Vancouver and congratulations on your F-150. Far better purchase than a wimpy Japanese truck or an ugly Chevy. Dodge makes pretty tough trucks though.

When you removed the H13 bulbs from your headlights what did they look like? And how was the connection?

The connection was good and tight on both. The wire harnes was not visibly damaged and the outer wrap was in tact. The bulbs themselves looked normal. No unusual marks or burning.

Sounds like a bad ground but I couldn't begin to tell you where

Update. The bright doesn't work either. I will start checking grounds when I get my diagram. I figured a ground would cause it to not work at all not just burn very dim.

Turns out it was the headlight sockets. Put on two new sockets and it is lighting flawlessly. Thanks for the help.
