Default headers? please help

Hi guys, im new to this forum stuff. I really want to install some headers on my 04 5.4 lariat. I have herd mixed reviews about doing this and shorty headers are not much gain. i know our heavy trucks are not breaking and speed records but have you guys installed a pair and found the results to be worth it? i was looking into banks torque tubes or jba's? I already have AEM intake, airaid spacer, accel super coil packs, E3 plugs, bullet performance exhaust.

Much thanks for your input.

I'd try the search function and gather opinions already posted. You're correct on the shorties; not much gain, but easy to install. They make great replacements to a stock header, but don't expect anything else.

Long tube headers are a good improvement over stock for sure, but would require a complete exhaust upgrade (mufflers, etc) to gain their maximum potential. You'd also want to add a cold air intake and a programmer as well to utilize the free flowing exhaust you just added.
