Default having issues

im having a problem with the fuel burning to rich i replaced the fuel filter in my 07 150 did the depressureizing (as per what haynes said) by unpluging the harness to the fuel pump and leting it stall out it did it but had some ecessive knocking before it died now im having rough idle burning fuel rich and check engine light is on. now the fuel pump works (checked it) fuel filter is on correctly checked inerta switch cant figure it out

Did you verify that the fuel filter is facing the correct direction (with the flow of fuel?)

maybe disconecting a battery cable to reset your ecm might be smart?

i pulled the negative wire this morning and so far so good can this possibly mask any other problems?
