Default Having brake issues

My 07 scab has a brake caliper that is seizing up. I think. It's really hot to the touch and the trucks pullin to the right. Hard. How on earth can I get this thing to compress down so I can pull the caliper off? And see what's making it seize up.

Well I pulled it off and both pistons were cracked and one was broken into 3 peices so I got a new one and I had tried the bleeder screw before and it was stuck.

Agree with Techrep on this one and since you're down there if you aren't on a budget might as well just re-do both sides with all new components. Pads, calipers, and rotors...

Dealer told me that some of the front calipers on the F150's have a tendancy to freeze up after 75 K and is quite common. (Svc Mgr is wife's cousin so no BS). Brakes are nothing to treat lightly and should be done in pairs (both sides of the axle). Chances are the rotor / pads on the frozen caliper are toast.

Crack the bleeder open and jam a big screwdriver in the caliper between it and the rotor and rock it back and fourth. This should get to it move the piston back enough to give you enough clearance to get the caliper off. Rest is by the book.

I just did mine a month ago with same problems of caliper sticking (but it didn't self destruct - YET). Complete brake over haul on the fronts and did rears last week. Had to do the rears because of the common frozen e-brake lever problem and replaced everything (except calipers) while I had it apart.
