Default harsh shift from first to second.

yess I have searched for it. but my 05 5.4 has been having a harsher shift for a while from first to second. I was wondering if anyone else was having this and if anyone has tried anything to resolve it such as a tuner on a different shift setting or Lucas additives. I already changed the fluid about 20k miles ago. thanks!

you will need to drop the transmission pan and remove the valve body in order to access the accumulators

Negative... all you have to do is drop the pan. 1-2 accumulator cover is in the front corner or the drivers side, valve body does NOT cover this accumulator.

push the cap up with your thumb and use some snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring. If the spring is broken, it will come out in pieces.

My bad, its been a while since I replaced mine. Looking at my truck mitymerc is right. Though you might want to change the other accumulators at the same time as its pretty simple and they are cheap too.
