Default Harley Headlights

Looking for some input here, has anyone attempted a do it yourself set of Harley headlights. I currently have 2007 lariat OEM headlights but I'm wanting to make mine look like this:

Looking for any suggestions or advice how to do it myself or maybe its easier to just buck up and pay the $400 for these.
Thanks in advance.

I just paid $69 shipped for black headlights on ebay.....brand new....I will post the seller I used later. They are really $85 shipped but ebay sent me a $15 coupon. 3rd purchase from this seller and have yet to be disappointed. Just run an extra bead of silicone around the seal and you will be golden.

The seller is ipexmotoring, I bought the clear reflector lens set.

What is the difference between the ones ipexmotoring sells and OEM Harley headlights?

Same way everyone else that did it at home. There are a few on here that ive seen. Pretty much you have to bake them, pop them open, prep, paint, and then reseal them. Theres a youtube video on how to do it too.

Now the debate, is it worth spending the $85 knowing they'll come right or save the money, try to do them myself and run the risk of messing them up.

I figure, it only cost me time to do it myself since i already have everything i need to do it. And if i totally screw it up, well then ill probably spend the $85. But its worth a shot

I went ahead and just bought a set off of ebay just because if I did mess up the stock ones the truck would be down until the new ones came in and it takes forever for things to be shipped out here
