Default Hand me Down probems

Well I had typed a long well written post, but then I submitted it and it messed up, and was lost. Anyways my new truck(1st) was my dads old one '07 f150 fX4 (131K Miles) ... It has a whole lot of problems seeing as how my dad did not understand how badass this truck is. BUT I do!! So I want to fix all the problems, and then start aftermarket work.

So if you have any info on any of this problems I woud be VERY greatful!!

- **Will not shift into park** Biggest concern I cannot take key out!!
- Oil pan gasket leaks
-The lights on the radio do not lgiht up... presets, menu, not the time and radio station.
-The buttons on the steering wheels that control the radio do not work.
-The little screen with odometer, trip, and temp does not light up at night.
- Aux jack does not work.
-When Im crusing in overdrive it starts to shake hesitate.(?)

Thanks guys!!!

check the linkage to your tranny, have you checked fuse's...the Aux fuse also controls your OBDII ...the shake at crusing,,,could be a mis-fire 131K miles ...have the plugs been changed ?? they were due @ 100K.

Sorry Josh.............
Doesn't sound like Dad took real good care of it.
Your first vehicle? Better to have one than non at all.
Buy a Haynes manual. A good investment if you want to
do things yourself!
Agree with tech, find out if he ever had the plugs changed.
Shaking, vibration might be due to unbalanced tires too.
Happy wrenching!

See it this way...Your dad gave you something that you will have to spend time and money on, so that you will fully appreciate it when it's up and running! Haynes manuals have some big voids of helpful information-especially for 4WD repairs. Forums like this will be very helpful. The more of the actual work/labor you can do yourself, the less you'll have to spend $$ getting everything fixed. Just make sure you do your homework brfore breaking parts that weren't already broken!
