It will take longer than lunch to install, you have to get the hex code then download Pegasus and it can be a pain if you have windows 7 or higher, I have a few tips if you need.

Hi.

Thanks, but I'm just yer average joe....

As fer custom settings (for either a canned Edge or Gryphon device ). I lifted this from one of the fine members in this thread with some modifications:

87 Level 2 Tune
Shift Firmness: +7 for all gears; (you can try a bit higher - personal preference here)
Standard Shift Points: Same
Torque Converter Standard Lock Points: standard for now (try -4 for 4th gear, -2 for 3rd gear later)
WOT Shift: 1-2:5350 2-3:5300 3-4:4800
WOT Fuel: 1.5
Timing: 0
Rev Limit: 6000 (you need 400-600 rpm of headroom above the max shift point)

You can bump up the timing by 0.5 points for every 1 point increase in octane; drop it back is you detect any detonation.

There are a lot of folks here who have more experience than me with this device - I'm an SCT guy. Also be aware not all trucks respond the same to these tweaks as there are literally hundreds of different PCM calibration codes for the F150. If you run into any quirkiness, immediately return to the default settings - or stock.

And lastly - highly recommend you seek custom tuning from PHP - with 35's you need all the torque increases you can get.

Good luck!

Throwing some serious knowledge down for us! Whoever orginally wrote that, tell them i appreciate it! Once i get home from work ill look into PHP and getting a custom tune. I already have the Gryphon and want to take full advantage of it! Im still debating on what custom tune to go with. If thats my only worrym then im doing pretty well!!

You will find out its super easy , find php order form..... Input your info into all the fields and here's a tip.... In the "tell us a little about you" spot be honest..... Example..... I put, I am heavy footed and want quick response, I live at. 5280 ft in denver but go to higher altitudes often ect.... And they will custom tune for your truck!

quick questions while im looking at this custom additions to the level 2 tune:

you mentioned "same" under standard shift points.. Did you mean same as in the same change (+7) as done to the shift firmness? Or did you mean same as leave it the hell alone?
