Hi all I just did a timing job on a 04 f150. I have everything plugged up but drew a blank on where this ground cable goes. It goes from the negative battery cable to a bolt holding my ecu in then another cable goes from same bolt on ecu to somewhere, I forgot where it goes lol. Any help would be appreciated!

In the upper left portion of your red circle there is a screw hole in the firewall with a small slot above it. One end of the cable goes there. It has a tab on the eyelet that keys into that slot. The other end goes on the back of the engine. I'll go look later this morning when it's light.

The best I can determine, it goes to the rear of the pass. side cyl. head. I't impossible to see it there, but anywhere on the block would do the same job.
Just like PerryB stated, one end slots into the top of the firewall with the hole & slot above and the other end goes onto a stud at the rear of the passenger side head. Very difficult to access but not impossible. Small pair of hands and a gear wrench work best to tighten it on.
