Default Grille Removal Issues

I am attempting to remove the stock grill on my '05 FX4 and replace if with the Saleen grill. The problem I am having is that the only remaing bolt (of the 6 10mm bolts) that attaches the piece to the hood is spinning freely. Apparently the stupid bolt attachments Ford installed to keep the bolt steady while unscrewing the nut broke (what a surprise). I have tried to take off the surround to get to the free spinning bolt but am unable to pop off the surround while looking at it basically upside down. Any suggestions on how to get this bolt off so I can take the surround off normally?

Can you get to it with a small hack saw blade? You may just cut it and make a trip to Lowe's afterwards.

Or maybe try to get some needlenose pliers on the screw and see if you can get the nut off while holding the screw.

I remember the screws you are referring to from installing mine but don't remember the angle that you have to work with.

Just a couple of thoughts..

Finally got it, took a pair of vicegrips and a wrench and way more patience then I usually have. Now I have to figure out how to secure the bolt for when I install the Saleen grill.
