I have a 08 FX2 and would like to remove those long gray trim pieces (the ones where the ac vents are) in order to paint to match my truck....anyone know how to remove these gray trim pieces?

I am pretty sure that those are the last pieces to come off. Although, I have only taken apart my cockpit on the 06... But I think you would have to start at the bottom and remove the bolts and pull all the "overlay" trims off and then you will see the bolts for that trim piece.

 

Those pieces are connected to the entire dash all together. It's all one piece unfortunately

 

I was hoping on doing the same thing I guess not haha
