Default Got my truck leveled!

Bought a 2.5" HBS leveling kit and got around to installing it last night.
Fairly simple to do but I ran into a few problems. Started with the passenger side and got everything off and got the spacer in fairly easily, got it all bolted back up and then realized that the the strut assembly was not lined up, so had to redo the whole thing on that side. It took about 2 hours after doing that side completely.

The drivers side was going good until I couldnt get the upper control arm off the spindle. I beat the hell out of it for about 30 min with a hammer. Gave up and went to loan out a pickle fork from Autozone. Got back and that still wouldnt work. After about an hour and a half we were running out of ideas. One of my friends came over and hit it about 3 times with the hammer in the same spot that I did and it pops off. Figures right?!
Got everything in and bolted it back up.

Took about 4 and a half hours total and going to get it aligned today. I think the truck looks 10x better now. Thoughts??

The after pictures were the best I could do since it was 11. Ill take some more after the alignment and a bath!

While trying to get the driver side upper control arm off we ripped the boot for the upper ball joint. Its still on there but just has a couple holes. Should I go ahead and replace the ball joint or will it be fine for a while?

I would replace the boot or at least keep it well greased! Might last a while as long as you give it TLC.

So far so good! Just did mine last week, and it didn't go as smooth sailing as yours sounds! My drivers side sway bar link broke and spun and p-side top mount nut wouldnt turn. Err! I also put in some heavy duty springs while I was at it! Now just need to get some bigger meats!

Nice! What springs did you get?

Im planning on getting 35" trails with 18" XD Addict or American Eagle 050 series wheel. I just gotta sell my car first, can't drop 2.5k while i have 10k sitting in the driveway lol. I just bought the truck last week!

Nice job, I'm waiting to get new shocks before I put my 2in HBS kit on (so i only have to have it aligned once). I hope mine turns out as well as yours!
