Viper's are really good, I've had one on my Mustang and I was pleased with it. Heard good things about compustar's as well. Price seems bout average for Viper

Geez that's blows. Is it at your house???

The alarm seems good, no personal experience but I've heard good things about viper.

DEI Makes some good products so you can't really go wrong with any of their lines. Remember your looking at about 200 bucks to get it installed.

I have a CompuStar alarm/remote start on my truck and am totally happy with it. I really don't think you can wrong either way you go though.

Also don't forget you will need a bypass for the auto start to work in your truck, I think that's something like another $50.

I know when I was shopping some of the installers in my area wouldn't do an install if you didn't buy the alarm through them. Either that or they wanted to charge a ridiculous install price. May want to check with the local installers before you purchase a system form ebay.

That's not a bad price, it depends on what model they were trying to sell though.

How much are they charging for install?
Shouldnt take a good tech more then an hour or hour and half if harder.....

I did a viper and took me about 3 hours but I went super slow and made sure of each step before I did it, then rechecked the steps.
