Looking in to purchasing a 2005 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 with 72,xxx miles. Good looking, clean truck. Owner claims it to be well maintained, will be further discussing this with him.

I gave him an offer of $14,000 (hes asking $16,000). On an older truck, that is my limit really.

If everything checks out, and he accepts my offer, is that a decent deal on my end for a good running, solid F-150? I live in NY so I will be paying close attention for issues with rust.

Yeah I'm from Idaho too and I wouldn't sell my 05 with 105k for 14. Market dictates though.

 

seems like a good deal to me as well, not a steal, but a fair price. Like most of the guys will say on here, find out when plugs were changed last (if ever), and its a good idea to check for rust issues like you already stated.
