Default Gears and lockers

So I'm looking at 4.10 gears and front and rear electronic lockers. Though I don't know much about my truck, a lot of Dana sizes and spinel counts came up.

So pretty much look for suggestions on which to get and also looking for the technical information so I order the right parts.

On a side note, I don't know how lockers really work. Can I buy a locker that's LS then select it so they fully lock for when I'm off roading/stuck?

Check out my post on this thread for parts: https://www.f150forum.com/f4/gear-swap-199844/index2/
Then they do not make electronic selectable lockers for our axles. The only selectable ones are ARB and they are open spool until you lock them.

So open spool utilizes what then to move? Right now I don't got LS or lockers so only one tire spins.

Edit: I got a lariat so do I have 8.8 and 9.75 long like your fx4?

Open spool is exactly what you have now, No limited slip or locker. They do not make an eaton locker for our axles and arb lockers are the strongest selectable lockers out there. If you route your air lines correctly you should not have a problem. And yes you have the same axles.

Eaton was the one I was looking at. Those were like $750 each. These air ones are like $1100, and I need to buy a compressor! I mean I know you get what you pay for but between eaton electronic lockers and ARB air lockers. If I were to compare what would be the differences?

Okay so what truck are you planning on putting an eaton locker in? Do you have a link to the locker your looking at? Last time I checked there is no e lockers for either of our axles in our trucks but I could be wrong.

You could be right, when I looked I didn't know the length or spinel count.

Ya just tried looking and I couldn't even find a 34 spinel with eaton... Can someone explain Dana please, those are popping up for like every search.

So looking for rear: 9.75 long 34 spinel and front: 8.8 28 spinel lockers

So far only result is ARB.
