Default Gearing Question

Need advice on gearing. 4:10's or 4:56's on an 06 FX4 with 35's. Or would you guys be content with the 3.73's and programmer?

I already did the lift and put the 35's on, but I feel that little bit of lag from the bigger tires. Just looking for some input form you guys who have done the same thing.

Going from 3.73 to 4.10 your not going to see a big enough difference for the cost of the project.... I'd go 4.56

I have 3.73 gears with 34.5 inch tires and an Edge programmer. No problems at all except it slowed my truck right down and now I now get about 12 MPG. Re-gearing would help both of those things. 4.10's probably wouldn't make that much difference over stock, 4.56 would be your best bet if you do choose to re-gear.

The question is, do you need more power or just want it? I recently regeared to 4.56 and if you do much highway driving you may be better as is with the 3.73s. I had 3.55s and the tires and towing were too much for them.

I guess you could say I want it. The most towing I do is the occasional(rare) boat for a friend or my quad in the back of the bed.

You definatly want 4.56 then- you will not be happy with 4.10 if 3.73 and a programmer isn't enough for you.....

Heck 4.10's and a programmer isn't enough for me but I don't want to spend the money just to go to 4.56..
