Default Gearing?

I have a 06 f-150 and I put 285's on it and now I find on the highway it drops out of overdrive all the time just wondering how much trouble it would be to put 4.10 gears in it? I think there is 3.55 gears in it now but i think upgrading to 4.10s would solve my problems what does everyone think?

285 isn't the hieght.

I didn't have a problem with my 35s on my truck.

Default Gears

You are looking at about $1000 per axle. Call a local 4x4 shop. They can tell you how much. Sometimes it can be less expensive to find a set of axles in a yard and swap them whole. Good luck.
