hopefully you guys can read trough the writing faults.

i have a 2004 f150 lariat 4X4 and have a problem with the servo piston.

the only thing i read about is the clips ring breaking and jamming the overdrive that way.

mine is a bit more complicated, the shaft itself broke straight off.

the one that was in had a o -ring in it and the one my swedish supplier send me as a original ford-part isn't.

so after mounting the problem was exactly the same and we have no idea anymore what to do with this. i hope i can upload pictures for you guys and someone can help me with it.


the problem started on a road without real acceleration. just took him off his cruise control and afterwards let him on resume so he took it easy up . then 4th gear went "neutral" and when i slowed down he shifted back to 3rd and after a couple of minutes (or seconds) 3rd went out to and was a "neutral"

when we changed to the new part and oiled everything up and were hopefull and happy as kids that we fixed him it was pretty dissapointing to notice nothing had changed.

anyone some advice or knowledge to share?
