Default Gauge Cluster Problem HELP

Hey Yal, first post in a while. So heres my problem. I have a 2004 STX that came with the gauge cluster that doesn't have a tachometer, being the picky guy I am I bought another cluster off of a guy on here that had a tach on it. HE has a 2007 STX and he said it worked fine for him, it was out of a XLT I believe originally. So I put the thing in no problem and everything was working great (Besides the mileage was off on the odometer it said I had 23k when I have 125k haha) then after a while I realized the gas gauge didn't move (Put it in when I had a full tank, NEVER moved) So I took the sucker out. The guy I bought it from was no help and I had to put the old crappy one back in. Does ANYONE know how I can get this thing in and flash my mileage onto it and get everything working correctly? PLEASE HELP I don't want the cash I out out for this thing to be a waste.

Ur gonna have to take the truck to the dealer for it to be reflagged. I'm sure when they do a computer reset, the gauges will work properly.

I actually work at a dealership and they can't do anything for me. I was thinking maybe a speedshop or something might be able to.
