Default Gauge Cluster Lighting Questions.

I have my bros 06 xlt screw for a year while hes deployed trying to do some little things for him.

The upper right corner of his guage cluster does not light up (im not looking at it right now and his dash is different than mine so cant tell u what gauge it is off the top of my head) and the little lcd in the bottom right corner with the mileage / temp/ compass doesn't light up at all. Does anyone know the bulb number so i can order some? Thanks.

They should be a #74 bulb if I remember correctly. There are 11 of them back there, along with some LED's.

Good luck man!

The lower "green" display panel uses a slightly larger bulb then the test of the guages in the cluster, as it is bright during daylight, and dimmer when the parking/headlights are on. Do not use the same bulb as the others; otherwise you will not be able to see this display panel during the day. Your local Ford parts person can set you up with the correct bulb(s).

I am not sure if the bulb is different, or if it is an LED... If it's LED then replacing it becomes much more difficult. I know that the majority of them are #74, best bet is to take out the cluster (giving you a dry test of uninstall/install process) and see what they look like and if the trouble spots are LED or a bulb. Then identify exactly what you will need (how many bulbs, led..etc) then reinstall the cluster, order the parts and go to town.
