Fuse problem 2008 F150
Hi everyone .This is a great site .I have a small but confusing issue.I was wiring my truck to pull my trailer tonight and When checking power to lights I blew my trailer towing park lamp fuse .No problem .I checked in my manual and it tells me which one it is.Just before I blew that fuse I was experiencing trouble getting my left turn signal on the trailer working so I checked the plug for power and there was none.At the time I didnt know that there was a seperate fuse for the trailer and where my trucks left signal was still working I decided I must have an issue with the factory wiring. After reading in the manual and finding out that the trailer has seperate fuses I looked and sure enough Left turn and stop fuse listed as a 10 amp and it was number 42 on the chart.Problem is there is no 42 on my fuse panel chart.Any ideas here Thanks Gary
I posted a pic of the fuse panel layout on this link:

It shows fuse #42 (lower left in pic).

You're going to go blind trying to find the fuse in the diagram in your 2008 Ford F150 handbook that came with the truck. IT'S NOT THERE! However, the missing fuse is up in the very upper left corner of the fuse panel. You will have to remove a relay to get a grip on it. You will also see it etched on the cover for your fuse panel. It's a 10 amp mini fuse, now go crack a beer, your quest is over! FUSE 42 HAS BEEN FOUND! If you read the handbook, it's full of errors. Some are marked F36 for fuse 36, and then there's lil ole fuse "42", NO F! It is designed to make you think you're looking for another beast rather than a mini fuse like the others. Please FORD, get it right in he future and don't let the engineers also wright the handbook!
