So I finally took the time to look into this. The wire was in a pinch spot and it was shorting it there. Though I'm pretty sure due to this I did mess up the cable I was tied into... ( dealership will have to look at that.) so I replaced the wire and tied into another power source but this time I connected a fuse between the connection as a buffer.
