Default Fule Pump Driver Module

I have a 2005 f150. My repair shop told me the FPDM is in the fule tank as part of the fuel pump. From what I have been reading it leads me to believe the repair shop is incorrect. Can someone please tell me if my '05 has the module above the spare tire? Thanks

Yep, it's above the spare, not in the tank.

Above the spare. Get a new repair shop.

Ditch your "repair shop" as they are obviously clueless. Like mentioned, drop the spare tire and its 2 bolts and a plug in. Takes all of 15 minutes if your slow and don't know the difference between a monkey wrench and a hammer. Seriously, it's stupid easy.

If needed, get a new one from Amazon for about $63.13.

You need to lower the spare tire anyway to make sure the lock and lift still work. Clean and lube them while you're at it.
