If you can get reasonably accurate measurements, 1728 cubic inches (aka 1 cu. foot) equals 7.48 gallons. Based on the length I'm almost positive you have the 36.

Default You most likely have a 26 gallon tank.....

The following website provides your vehicle build info. (or "window sticker")
https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do
If you enter your VIN, it states: "With Single Fuel Tank"

I would assume you have the 26 gallon tank as for a 36 gallon tank, the web site would state: "Extended Range Single Fuel Tank" (the information was acquired by entering my F-150's VIN having a 36 gallon tank).

I can't guarantee the information on the website is correct, but I don't have any info that would suggest it isn't.

Hope this helps.

Weird...I have a 2008 F150 FX4 4x4 and my owners manual says it's 32 gallon. Maybe I have a unicorn.

I was only quoting 26 & 36 gallon numbers provided by Luckett. I believe 26 & 36 gallons were the options for my 2006 model year as well. If yours is a 2008 I would use the info (gallons) that Ricktwuhk provided.

Hard to say, ETIS doesn't specify. The only 2 sizes offered for that wheel base and cab configuration are 27 and 35.7 gallons. Best advise I can give is run it close to being dry, if you fuel up over 27 then you have the 35.7 (36).
