Default Fuel Sensor

Ok now this has happen on my dads 04 Explorer and his 99 F350, you go fill your truck and you get back in and the gauge is on the same place it was before you filled and the more you drive the more it goes back up. It takes awhile, and it only happens sometimes, anyone else have this, and is there a simple fix or no?

I have had the same issue too. I just deal with it since I am not willing to pay to have it fixed.

its most likely just the fuel sensor/float in the tank. its a cheap part to fix if you have the ability to drop the gas tank out yourself. i think it was like 20-30 bucks when i replaced one on my old car.
