About 2 months ago my truck died would run and die spit and sputter and pump was making some weird noises so I checked the fpdm and it was bad so I bought a new one and put it on Truck ran fine after that till the other day and it died again fuel pump wouldn't run had it towed home and it fired right up once home but fuel pump was making noises again and running all the time not just priming but running constantly when key was on so I decided to change the pump changed it ran fine except running constantly still even with the new pump so I decided to drive it home when it died again pump won't come on took pump out again and tested it it works fine checked the pump fuse it's good tried swapping the relays still nothing I'm just wondering if the fpbm could be bad again I mean I just replaced it any help would be greatly appreciated

 

It sounds like an electrical problem but did you happen to check/ replace fuel filter?

That sounds like a good one for the Ford tech guys on here. Hopefully they'll see your post. My FPDM went out in me but gave no warning what so ever, just died on me and wouldn't restart. Had to have truck towed home.

Just took the fpdm off and it smells burnt does anyone know if mabe a stuck relay would cause the fpdm to burn up cause the pump was running constantly before it died
