Default fuel pump driver module

2007 4.2 Idles but has no power. I put a new fuel pump driver module supposedly from Ford on and it starts but idles for abut 3 minutes then dies. It stars again after about 4 minutes or if I prim it. If I put the old fuel pump driver module back on, then back to the original problem. Idel fine, but no power. Can a new fuel pump driver module have a defect? Am I barking up the wrong tree? I’m getting 3 codes.
