Nick change the plugs and COPs, how many miles on your truck cause mine was doing the the same ?

My FPDM only had some light corrosion. I spray-painted the metal, then put a wrap of duct tape to prevent future metal to metal issues.

That duct tape may do more harm than good. You are now trapping moisture in there.

Most duct tape is also an electrical conductor.
If your FPDM looks good (no corrosion or cracks) use some rubber or fiber washers behind it to somewhat isolate it from the truck frame.
The problem is that the aluminum and steel react and corrode the aluminum.

"Most duct tape is also an electrical conductor." - -The alluminum case back is a heck of a lot more conductive than the tape. The tape is not a full-on stand-off like the spacers, I know. It does separate the metals though.
