Default fuel pump

i got a 05 fx4 and can not hear the fuel pump working had one of my buddies stop by with the computer and its not working at all. Is there any way i can jump it so i can drive it to the shop or not really? I already reset the fuel switch and it didn't do anything. Any help with be great thanks guys.

You could check all the wiring and the ground going to the pump.

Is the fuel switch you mention above the same as the inpact shut off switch located by the fuse panel in the passenger kick panel? If no, the impact switch by the fuse panel may have been tripped inadvertently. When tripped, it inactivates the fel pump.

check the wires around the spare tire... i dont remember what they do or what they are... but i have heard alot of these model trucks having problems there

LOL......

Sent the OP a PM.

The module mounted next to the spare tire is the Fuel Pump Control Module, and yes, there are issues with them.

If it is in fact the pump gone bad try hitting the side of the truck bed or tank. Sounds stupid but i had a mechanic tell me to do this and it worked long enough to save me a tow bill.
