Default Fuel pressure and misfire

So, ive had a problem with cylinder two misfiring, I have replaced and checked pretty much everything I have read about on this forum. The one thing I haven't checked is the FPDM, so I checked fuel pressure at the rail with my code reader and it was reading 260 psi, and from what I read on here its suppose to be around 35-45. So im assuming it could possibly be a bad FPDM or sensor? Thanks

You sure your code reader is reading in 'PSI' and not some other units? I question if the fuel pump would even be capable of 260 PSI.

Nevertheless, I doubt that is causing misfire on one cylinder. BTW - what code is that misfire, P0302 or P0352?

Yeah, I have it set to PSI, it says something along the line of fuel rail pressure relative to manifold pressure. I have gotten the codes P0302 and P0300

So... you have replaced the plug in # 2 with a SP546 motorcraft plug and new boot and spring ?

One thing I did forget to mention, is when I originally changed the coil and spark plug the spark plug was almost completely threaded out. A couple of months after that it started missing really bad again so I checked the spark plug and it had come loose again.

Are you torquing them to 25-28ft-lbs with a torque wrench?
