Default front wheel squeaking

Randomly there is a squeak that follows the cadence of the wheel rotation on my front driver side wheel. I couldn't get it to happen again for the mechanic I just had working on it. It happens at any speed but always stops immediately when I tap the brake. Could this be a bad caliper making contact with the rotor? It's an 06 F150 STX 4x4 with 30k miles. I just got it. In any event the dealer told me that since it's noted it will be covered even after the dealership warranty, but I'd rather resolve it sooner than later.

it just sounds like you have a brake pad hanging up in the caliper. you can either clean up the old hardware and apply caliper grease to it or replace the hardware. the outside pad is probably the culprit.
