Default front and rear shocks

i drive a 2008 f150 4x4 4.6. I'm trying to figure out what would be the best front and rear shock setup for my stock height truck. I do a lot of highway driving but I do take it off road from time to time.

"The best" is very subjective. Best handling, best ride, etc. What result are you trying to achieve? Given your intended use of primarily highway, I would stay close to stock ride. If you want stock ride characteristics on your stock suspension, then suggest you go OE. Part number 18124 is a start. For example:

Or a standard Monroe Sensatrac is a good highway shock for general use.

If you are towing, hauling, or offroading a LOT, then we will have different recommendations.

I do go quite a bit mostly in sand though because I live Florida. I do spend most of the time driving rarely pulling anything.
