ok just want to get verification on this. had truck in for inspection,while they had the jack under left front with tire off the ground,started truck and turned wheel. half shaft was turning.this shouldnt happen should it. if anybody notices drop in mpg might be something to check out.

 

Engine running and in 2WD, half shaft should not turn. Correct.
