Default Front Ford emblem???

My front emblem is faded BAD!! The clear plastic is peeling off and it looks HORRIBLE!! I've called the dealer and I can get the new OEM for $50. That sucks! So I went to Ebay and that wasn't much better, any suggestions??

Hey, mine did the same thing. I "politely" asked the dealer parts guy for a courtesy discount. Got it for $34.

Check out tascaparts.com, one of their guys posts here as tascajosh. They're a dealer that sells close to cost, you'll have to see if it's worth it with shipping.

Excellent point. I always treat my local Ford parts counter folks with respect. It pays off. I never have to ask for a discount; I always get one.

Plus, they can provide you with other information such as looking up your VIN and providing you with build information, codes for options your truck came with, etc.

Take a box of donuts or bagels to them on your next visit. They'll appretiate it.

I have a 2007 and it was already shot about 2 months ago. Bought a new one for about $45 at the dealership.
Actually I think the reason that they ruin is that the clear laminate on the logo gets penetrated by rocks on the interstate and allows water to enter. This is my theory at least??

Default Emblems

Add another 07 to the Emblem going bad list. Personally I'm thinking about eventually seeing if I can find a billet one. At least that won't deliaminate like the factory one did.
