Ill make sure to check the ball joints. I Think the upper one has a grease fitting but not sure. Thanks for all of your input.

if they are oem ball joints, they are all sealed and cannot be greased.

Default well...

As promised, here is what ive found:

1. it is not the brakes. I checked all surfaces for uneven wear, pad thickness, and caliper placement

2. it probably is not the ball joints or the control arm bushings. I only have two floor jacks so i could not test this extensively. Neither of the ball joints appear bulging or over extended, and they are seated properly.

3. it is not the tires or rim. sound is made with tire off, again when only turning the rotor forward

4. My guess is that it is a seal or bearing within the hub. Although i heard the sound during manipulation, i could not pinpoint it exactly.

5. There are some universal joints at the end of the driveshafts, but i could not test them while I was under the truck.

I was 'scared' to take off the CV boots because they appear to require some sort of special band to replace them.

I have the 60 month 70K+ warranty, so I will try to see if they will replace the hub on Ford's tab.
