Default Front End Problem?

The other day my 2005 started making a grinding noise, sounds like its coming from the DS. It does it when/after I turn or accelerate; it stops when I take my foot off the pedal. If I put it in 4H the noise stops, take it off and it starts again. Read a bunch of posts and figured it was the IWE solenoid as mine was the older version. Replaced it and no change?

Does anyone have any experience with this or happen to know what it could be? (CV, bearing?)

Its your IWE look at the stickys to see how to fix it. I would pull the plug on the IWE solenoid to lock in the hubs to prevent anymore damage

Mine was a bad vacuum line going to the vacuum canister, made the same noise.
