Front end noise
While at a stop, if I make a sharp right turn (steering wheel turned 3/4 to full right), I get a snapping type noise from the left front wheel area (drivers side) while moving forward. I do not get this when turning left from a stop. Hard to discribe the noise, but it's enough that folks in a parking lot will turn and look in my direction when this happens. It's a two wheel drive 4.2 liter V6. No power steering groins, just a "pop, pop, pop, pop" type sound as the wheels are turned right and I'm moving slow forward. Goes away when the truck moves straight. Doesn't do it at speed (then again I would not be turning such a sharp right turn at speed!).
Anyone else experience this? Stock Ford wheels and tire height.

Bucko,
Check you lower A-Arm pivot bolt. I had an alignment done right after I installed a leveling kit and shortly afterwards had some very nasty noises while turning sharp at low speed. Sounded like a broken u-joint. The pivot bolt must be tightened EXTREMELY tight. If it did come loose you will need to check your camber.
