Default Front diff vent tube

Hey all,

When I was installing my Rancho lift last weekend, I noticed that when I had my diff out it leaked a little 90 weight out of the vent hole. This got me thinking that if oil is leaking out, water can get in, which would be a bad thing. The hose that fits over the vent does not reach, since it was lowered by the drop brackets.

What have you guys with lifts done about this? Replaced the hose with a longer one or just not worried about it?

Thanks

I would definitely replace or extend the hose. There is a reason it was put there in the first place. Most auto parts stores usually carry similar hose and push on couplers

Good idea. I think I will replace. Probably wouldn't be a great idea to cap it off either. I can't imagine 90 weight getting hot enough to migrate up to wherever the other end of that hose goes, but who knows
