Free code read in canada?

Hey any fellow canadians out there know if there is a place where we can get OUR codes read for free?
no autozone here

I bought a OBD2 code reader from princess auto for $79... I figure I'll use it a lot over the years so it was a good purchase.. This way you can help your buddies out too when their check engine light comes on.
