that probably doesn't have anything to do with the wiring problem, that is probably just the max speed of the truck

It had extras, like lights, amplifier but I removed them.

could these be the cause?
and the shifting cable shows damage from touching the exhaust

you need to figure out that wiring mess, those wires were cut, much to clean of a cut to be burned up or chewed by a rodent.

Had the truck for close to a year. Only issue is the no acceleration at a certain speed on the highway

how fast do you want the truck to go? it sounds like you are just maxing out the capability and power of the truck
