Found a great deal on a 2006 F150.
It's an extended cab XLT lifted 6" via suspension, has 35" tires with very sharp looking chrome wheels, a triton edge programmer and last, but not least this is my major concern a 5.4L 3V engine with 81,000 miles on it. The current owner doesn't know if the plugs were ever changed and he never changed them as he has owned the truck for several months and due to numerous excessive payments he needs to rid himself of this truck. I'm afraid to buy it, have the plugs changed and have several of them break resulting in costly repairs.
This truck is extremely sharp looking in a near mint condition and runs very well, but my main concern is that I would be taking a major risk not knowing the status of the spark plugs. Should I jump on a good deal or just have patience and look else where for something safer?

Try to get the plug problem factored into the price. Be like hey its going to cost me 500 bucks to have them changed....so go that much lower in the price. I dont think it will be that bad. Make sure everything else is in good order and if it is, and the only thing you have to worry about is changing the plugs, I would say go for it.

Dont let a few hundred $ spark plug chance scare you away from a truck you want.
Id be more afraid of the lift kit not being properly installed than spark plugs. I got mine changed at 93k and it cost $408 and its a one time deal since the plugs are supposed to be changed every 100k.

Edit: It might depend on location though. I have noticed price is correlated with location.
