I found a broken corroded wire that is gray with a black tracer running in it's own plastic conduit from the #1 fuel injector plug and I can't find where it is supposed to go. Can anyone help? My truck is a 2005 FX4. It misfires at low rpm under load. Thanks!!!
I tried tracing mine, but it's wrapped in electrical tape and dives down into the harness above the COP. Best I can tell from my visuals and the interwebs is that it goes to the fuel rail pressure sensor. Would make sense that a break there throws off the whole system, but I can't prove it.
Doesn't match anything on drawing for fuel sensor on drivers side
Gry-bk tracer on dwg is a vss signal .Which is vehicle speed sensor so I'm told . This wire I was told could be accessed behind radio to use for an add on electric fan controller . A project i was studying and decided against . It would cutoff fans above a certain speed .
I imagine it comes from pcm computer . Why it is on the engine is beyond me .
Maybe somebody here knows, you can get the wiring diagrams on this forum .
Drivers side = left side of engine compartment .
It can get very confusing . Fuel rail sensor is on drivers side .
No.1 cly is on passenger side towards radiator .
