Default FORscan Key Programming

Has anyone used FORscan to program keys? I just bought an Escape so that when I am working on my F-150 or my wife's car, we have another to use. It came with only one key. I saw that FORscan has the ability to program keys and I was wondering if anyone had done this. Is it better to clear all keys and add fresh or just add keys? $55 for the stealership to do it, and I want to get FORscan anyway...

Thanks!

I've done it starting with only 1 key on my 2011. I had ace hardware cut the key blank I received off eBay. They were a bit skeptical, I said I'll take care of getting it programmed, I just want it cut.

Thanks! Did you use FORScan for it or something else?

I used forscan, but cannot say you'll have the exact same process/luck being in a different generation.

I used it successfully on my truck. I programmed 3 keys.
