My remote arrived in the mail yesterday. Went to install only to find out that I have no idea where the valet button is.

Does anyone have any experience with these models?
If a valet button was never installed-- which wires do I look for to install?

Any help would be great!

FYI:
Found the valet mode sequence by accident.

1. Open door
2. Enter Vehicle and close the door.
3. Reopen door.
4. Start Truck
5. Close Door
6. Open Door
Vehicle will beep 3 or so times to notify valet mode
7. Press & Hold the KEY (remote start) button on the 4 Fob. [TO PROGRAM FOB]
Truck will beep horn 2 times to confirm programming.
Hope this will help....none of the manuals indicated this sequence.

NOTE: Now just have issues with the truck staying running when using remote start. The truck will start and run for 3-seconds then turn off.. and repeat 5 times. I think it is because my 3rd brake light bulb and front fog light is out. It also could because of my P0430. These will all be fixed by next month.

 

also try:
Open (get in)
close door
Start truck
Open Door
-----------------
also try:
Open door (sit down)
Start truck
Leave door open

 

Thanks for that, going to order a couple off of Ebay and see if this works. my existing one is wearing out. The local keyfob maker says to unconnected the device before I cant start my truck....
