Default FOB not working

Factory command start 2006 f150 xlt - Went to remote start the truck this AM and from the house window I saw the lites flash once and nothing. Tried again and still nothing, tried the door lock/unlock and panic alarm and still nothing. Replaced the remote battery and still nothing...

Any Ideas ?

Default command start

It wasn't working before I changed the battery so , I'm guessing that isn't the problem... But I'm willing, do I need to go to the dealer or is their a process I can try myself ?

you can try it yourself.cycle the switch from off to run 8 times in under ten seconds without starting the truck leaving the key in run position.the locks will cycle and you hit any button on the fob the locks will cycle again.then turn key off and try it.best i remember this is accurate.good luck man

Just tried and the locks cycled but no luck. I pulled the remote apart again and the positive battery contact looked a bit stretched. I held the chip board in hand with the battery in place and BINGO it worked great. I put it all back together now it's working per normal.

Thanks for the speedy response, it's suppose to dip to minus 15 Celsius tonight and I'm going to be needing that FOB in the morning.
