Default flushing brake fluid

I am putting new brakes on my truck in the near future and I'm thinking this is probably a good time to flush the system. I haven't had much luck finding by the brake fluid capacity for my truck. Has anyone done this to a 2008 with a 4.6litre engine? How much fluid did you need?

get 2 bottles...and when you bleed your new brakes ...run a whole bottle out...I used a turkey baster and sucked out most of what was in the reservoir before I started...by the time your done you have all new fulid.

Use a Motive brake bleeder and it'll pay for itself.

Thank you, I will grab two bottles and the bleeder kit sounds like a good idea too.

75$ sounds cheap to me. We charge over a hundered at my shop but we do 90% bmw work. When we do flushes with the flusher we use a quart so id say two would be good doin it at the house

I'm positive they did, if I remember correctly I had my inspection done at the same time and they had a special going on. I also go there to get alignment done, it was 250$ for unlimited alignments for your vehicle. In 2 years I've been 3 times so its pretty much paid for it self. I personally think they do great work.

Is there a recommended time or mileage interval for flushing/changing brake fluid?
