Default Fluid Maintenence Intervals: Realistic Vs. Recommended

I was just wondering what some people's thoughts are about fluid maintenence on the F-150's. You hear different mileage requirements everywhere you go and even differing numbers between Ford dealerships.
I understand that the 3k oil change requirement is a little premature and is directly associated with a shop making a little more money but what are your thoughts.
Engine oil, transmission (flush or drain and replace?), coolant, transfer case, differentials?

I'm just trying to come to a happy medium of when to do this stuff. Doesn't make sense to do it premature but I def. don't want to replace fluid later than I should.

The dealers seem to push for the trans flush at the 30K schedule but the manual says 100 or 150K. Granted if I tow fulltime or almost fulltime I would most likely do it at 30-40K. No disrespect to any members but I feel some dealers try to scare owners into spending money when it's not needed. JMO

This is the point that I was trying to make... everyone has a differing opinion. I just got the transmission flushed at 44k and everything seems to be running top notch!!
Does anyone know if there is anyway to grease ball joints on these trucks?

It's that time of month again for this to come up......

Synthetic allows longer intervals between oil changes. Depending on how hard you drive, and the conditions (I.E. towing, dusty enviroment, etc), you can go to 7500 miles per change.

Semi-synthetic and conventional oils, 3000 to 4000 miles.

If you use full synthetic and change your oil at 3 to 4K intervals, you're wasting your money; switch back to semi blends and save yourself some coin.

And since this will no doubt come up (again), motorcraft oil filters are great oil filters to use.
