Default Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler

I'm thinking about going with the Super 44 muffler for my exhaust. I think I'm going to order just the muffler off of amazon and take it to the muffler shop and have them bend the pipe and install everything for me.

What size muffler do I need for a SI/DO exhaust

What size tips do I get and can anyone recommend any black tips?

I got my flowmaster super 44 si/so off Amazon too. Part number 842548. It's 2.5" in/out. Mine was $35 because the box was dented lol muffler was in brand new perfect condition. Cut my muffler off and added an extension pipe. It's so loud but I love it. With my tax return I'm gettin a mbrp si/do because I want duals

I went with a 10" muffler with dual 4" powdercoated matte black tips. Nice deep throaty sound.

So if I go with this muffle "Flowmaster 9425472 Super 44 Muffler - 2.50 Center IN / 2.50 Dual OUT - Aggressive Sound"

It will have 2.5" pipes that the tips will need to connect to right? And if I go with the 4" like the one's above, I just have to make sure and order tips that have a 2.5" inlet?

Where can I get those exact tips at? Are you running 2.5" pipes?

You are correct. Look up jones exhaust tips. I know they are on summit, but not sure if eBay and amazon carry them.

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it.

So if I get that muffler, and these tips http://www.summitracing.com/parts/je...v/media/images I can take them straight to the muffler shop and they'll be able to hook it all up for me? I wonder how much they are going to charge me ....

Since you are doing duals out it will obviously cost more than if they reused stock 2.5 inch piping all the way back for a single out system. Not sure what the labor charges are around your area, but with the additional piping, possibly hangars and labor I would guess around 200. They should reuse stock piping up to where they swap the new muffler in so that should help a little. Let us know what the shop quotes you. Would also shop around unless you have a known good shop you go to.
