Default Flowmaster Super 10 Muffler

I'm getting ready to make a purchase as soon as I get some clarification that I'm making the right decision. I've decided to go with the Super 10 muffler from Flowmaster. The only question holding me up is, the dimensions of the SI/DO muffler is 3" in/2.5" out. Is this the correct set up I need? Then I can buy 2 tips that are 2.5" right?

The other SI/DO Super 10 muffler is 2.5" in/2.25" out. I think I'd rather have the other one because it would be louder maybe? Any help on deciding which one to get is extremely appreciated!

I've got a 2006 F150 5.4 Fx4 Scab

Stock exhaust is 2.5" so the 3" in would have to have a reducer to work or the tubing from the cat would have to be increased to 3" to match

So do I need to get a reducer to take to the muffler shop? Any specific things about a reducer I need to know about?

Your exhaust shop should have or be able to make a reducer but I would contact them to make sure.

If it were me I'd have them run in 3" where it goes from 2 pipes to one... You'd benefit from it and it prolly sound better
